RIAS – Centro de Recuperação e Investigação de Animais Selvagens

RIAS is a wildlife recovery and research centre in the Algarve that receives native wild animals requiring rehabilitation. Birds are an important part of the centre's work and include species such as gulls, storks, sparrows, swallows and birds of prey. RIAS provides rehabilitation and recovery services for wild animals but does not accept domestic or exotic birds. Members of the public who find an injured wild bird should contact the appropriate wildlife authorities and follow RIAS guidance rather than attempting to care for the animal themselves.
