Happy Tails is located in Alcaria Fria, mountains above TAVIRA. It is a small, home-based dog boarding service where dogs stay as part of the family in a calm and caring home environment. We focus exclusively on family stays, with individual attention, plenty of companionship and a relaxed atmosphere where each dog can feel safe, comfortable and at home while their owners are away.
We intentionally keep Happy Tails small and personal, allowing us to give each dog the time, care and attention they deserve. We also carefully consider each dog's personality and needs to make sure they are a good fit for our home environment and the other dogs staying with us.

Simply the Best
We have been lucky enough to have known about Happy Tails for over 3 years. Our little Rudi absolutely loves going there and staying with his Aunty Monica. The whole environment is just perfect. Monica loves every single dog and looks after them as if they were her own. The dogs can run around and play as much as they want and Monica devises fun games to entertain them. They have lovely naps in the shaded area and all sleep on lovely comfy beds inside at night. Monica sends very regular video updates and you can see how happy all the dogs are and how much fun they are having. If it gets too hot in the summer, they go inside to an air conditioned room and also inside if it is raining. It really is the most brilliant place for your dog to stay and you can relax knowing they are in the most capable hands in the Algarve. Rudi always comes home happy and contented. We love Happy Tails. x

Doggy daycare like no other!!
Monica is amazing! We have been a client of hers for around 5 years, and Happy Tails is Monty’s home away from home. Monica loves each of her four-legged friends like they are her own. She provides a safe, loving, and fun environment with every luxury a doggy could wish for … space, toys, entertainment, first-class accommodation, friends to play with, and treats! We cannot speak highly enough of Monica and recommend her wholeheartedly!! We love you Aunty Monica! xxx

Excellent
Marley has been staying at Happy Tails for about 5 and a half years and we won't take him anywhere else! He started going when he was just a few months old and he was pretty stressed at the time with separation anxiety. Monica was absolutely amazing with him. She provides a safe, calm environment and always considers his needs. I love that the dogs have such a home from home space, without the need for crates. He gets all the attention he needs and I never have to worry about him while he's away. I would highly recommend Monica and Happy Tails!

Fantastic, would not leave our four legged friend anywhere else
Our dog fas been staying with Monica for 5 years. As soon as I drive up, he wants to go and join his friends. He goes happy and is never in a hurry to come home. Monica sends photos and videos of his stay. It's good to know our boy is well looked after when we are travelling.

The only person we will trust with our dog!
We have been using Happy Tails for around 3 years now and our dog Marvin loves it. Every time we pull up to the gate he runs over excitedly wagging his tail and is so happy to be at his second home. Happy Tails is a home from home environment with plenty of space for the dogs. Monica is brilliant at socialising them, ensuring they are happy and enriched during daily activities. We receive daily pictures and updates so we know he is enjoying his holiday whilst we are away. Thank you Monica!

Fantastic
We have been using Happy Tails for over 3 years now. It was very important to us, to find someone who creates a home from home environment when leaving our dog Milly. Dogcare
Happy Tales Algarve is the right place to go if you are looking for loving and professional care for your beloved dogs! Monca is a loving and highly competent pack leader. Our dogs are always very relaxed around her. The dogs have a wonderful, huge exercise area and always have shade available. Monika is a truly wonderful, warm-hearted person, and we give her five stars plus.

Happy Dog - Happy Mum & Dad!
HAPPY TAILS provides an absolutely First Class Service, under the ownership of the wonderful, hard working & caring Monica. Our dog Sam has stayed here several times & has always had a fabulous time! He gets to mix with all breeds of the canine family & always makes new friends from day one - as well as old friend from previous visits. Whenever we mention the name 'Monica' his ears prick up & he does that sweet head-tilt, indicating his affection for her & his memories of his 'holidays' spent at HAPPY TAILS. We get regular (usually daily) updates & video clips of what Sam & all his friends get up, which always brings a smile to our face. He absolutes loves his time spent at this wonderful scenic location, & we as owners could not be happier with the fabulous care & service provided here.

A lovely environment, warm and careful Monica with professional knowledge about any breed called dog makes Happy Tails heaven on earth for the dogs and us humans that needs help to take care of our precious darlings. Do not hesitate, contact Monica, make a visit and feel safe that your dog will enjoy a stay and even longing to return to Monica. We have moved back to Sweden and the first place on our; “What we miss from Portugal” is Monica and her Happy Tails Maria, Torbjörn and Salsa
