Serviço Médico Veterinário Municipal de Castro Marim

The Municipal Veterinary Service of Castro Marim is responsible for animal-health and animal-welfare matters within the municipality. Its responsibilities include rabies vaccination campaigns, electronic identification, collection of abandoned or stray animals, referral of animals to the intermunicipal collection centre and control of animal populations. The service also carries out official veterinary and sanitary functions relating to animals and establishments.
